Carlisle Fluid Technologies has an immediate opportunity for an Engineering Technician in our Oakdale facility. The Engineering Technician position works in a team environment to support development and improvement of custom products and systems. The candidate will work in a minimally managed support role to assemble, test, and modify new products and systems. The position will also manage laboratory space and equipment; and assist in transitioning new products to manufacturing - including defining assembly processes and training production assemblers.
What you’ll do:
- Assemble and test new and current products.
- Provide routine electrical and mechanical assembly by following schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Implement minor design changes on existing parts and assemblies.
- Perform testing and quality checks in line with minimum supervision.
- Develop vital skills from our Engineering and Operations training and work experience to build upon overall knowledge of the operation.
- Collect and report test data, report findings, track time and performance if needed.
- Acquire knowledge of our variety of products
- Able to mentor, train, and share knowledge for your peers.
- Participate in corrective action and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow safety guidelines from Carlisle.
- Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
What you’ll need:
- Two (2) year technical degree (Electronics, Mechanics, or equivalent)
- Two (2) years in hands-on electro-mechanical technician OR assembly role
- Two (2) years reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical assembly drawings and instructions
- Experience modifying mechanical parts (drilling, cutting, tapping, milling)
- Experience with simple circuit OR control system design
How to Stand Out:
- Good understanding of blueprints and schematics reading
- Experience executing test plans, collecting, and reporting data.
