Carlo Gavazzi is a recognized global leader specializing in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of products and networked solutions for the Industrial Automation and Building Automation industries. It includes multiple technologies for connected Sensors, Relays and Electrical Metering.
Reporting directly to the Americas CFO, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for financial related activities related to our manufacturing facility in Mexico
The key activities and responsibilities of the role are:
· Self-starting professional who is comfortable using analytics.
· Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information.
· Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data.
· Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
· Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts.
· Prepares payments by accruing expenses.
· Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures.
· Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
· Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
This role will be in Buffalo Grove, IL and will be expected to comply with the company’s work from home policy that will be provided. Hours subject to change pending company activities and holidays.

Staff Accountant Qualifications and Skills:
· Strong analytic abilities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Associate’s degree in accounting, bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
· 2 years’ experience with general staff accounting
· Manufacturing/cost accounting experience is a plus
· Bilingual in Spanish and English required
· IFS ERP experience is a plus; must have larger ERP experience (SAGE, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
