Chief Procurement Officer

CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Procurement Officer to join our team at our Headquarters in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of procurement experience, with proven expertise in developing strategic supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing procurement operations. This position will report directly to the CEO of the company and will lead all procurement functions, ensuring efficient coordination of goods and services while managing supplier communication and logistics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead procurement efforts with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management.

· Oversee and manage the full procurement process, including creation and administration of purchase orders and requisitions.

· Negotiate, modify, and execute contracts between new and current suppliers.

· Complete and maintain necessary reports and records in a timely and organized manner following all applicable procedures

· Track packages/equipment purchased to ensure receipt prior to payment of invoices

· Obtain authorized approval signatures to ensure financial responsibility for all purchases

· Oversee and organize the receiving schedule of goods from suppliers to our loading dock.

• Other duties as assigned per the Business Management Office 
• Manage a team ranging from 2-6 direct reports.

REQUIREMENTS

·10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry and existing relationships with vendors a plus

· Strong proficient knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required

·  Knowledge of the production timeline and planning

· Attention to detail

· Good interpersonal skills, able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities

· Ability to work well under pressure

· A team spirit and cooperative nature

· Self-starter capable of working and prioritizing projects with little supervision

· Professional demeanor

EDUCATION:

·Business or Related Degree is strongly Preferred
