Clinical Nurse Instructor
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Instructor who provides training and evaluates performance in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical site. The Instructor is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with state and federal instructional guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Team in adhering to DC CNA regulations, particularly managing students in the clinical areas/ clinical facilities
- Interprets the mission and aim of the Nurse Aide Training Program in relation to the planning and delivery of nurse aide care, within the framework of the nursing facility.
- Provides the students and the school with documents determined by the nurse aide coordinator to be necessary, such as student schedules and student assignments.
- Build content knowledge and develop clinical skills
- Oversees the clinical practicum and maintains a cooperative working relationship with clinical site staff
- Ensure attendance and participation of students in the clinical site, plan and implement corrective action based on the attendance policy of the school.
- Oversees/ plans and implements strategies for students to enhance their learning in the clinical areas
- Evaluates students learning at the end of the rotation
- Schedules an end-of-rotation evaluation conference with the nursing facility (nursing manager) after the semester to review any student, staff, and/or clinical issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and District of Columbia State Board of Nursing License with a minimum of (2) two years full-time or equivalent clinical experience or an appropriate combination of education and experience
- One year of clinical experience in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching adult immigrants is preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in written communication
- Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination

Hourly compensation ranges from $33.89 per hour to $50.81 per hour
Schedule: Clinical Rotation: Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm
