Driver (Substitute) 

We are searching for Driver who is responsible for driving passengers and general school support. Since the Driver deals extensively with the public, he or she must be diplomatic, courteous, and helpful. The Driver puts students at ease and/or deals with complaints with a smile. It is imperative that the Driver maintains strict confidentiality

Responsibilities:

•    Drives students from the metro station to the school and/or from the Sonia Gutierrez Campus to the Harvard Campus.

•    Drives staff, teachers, or school guests to meetings and activities as needed

•    Drives teachers and staff on field trips

•    Drives staff to stores to purchase food and supplies for student activities

•    Performs vehicle inspection before use (use vehicle inspection report)

•    Maintains cleanliness of vehicle

•    Delivers vehicle to designated shop for any scheduled or required maintenance service

•    Immediately report any accident or damage to the vehicle and any moving or parking violations. Failure to report a violation is grounds for immediate termination of employment

•    Provides cafeteria coverage during breaks when needed

•    Under general or limited supervision, performs a variety of manual and clerical tasks associated with the pick-up, transport, and delivery of mail, supplies, equipment, and books

•    Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

•    Valid CDL Class B license with a Passenger (P) endorsement

•    Copy of driving record

•    Copy of medical certification

•    Strong interpersonal skills

•    Ability to communicate with people who have limited English skills

•    Ability to interact with populations of diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.

•    Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination

The rate per hour ranges from $15.85 per hour to $26.96 per hour
