MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SUPERVISES: Supervises all Technical Associates, all Instructional Technology Specialists and other personnel and vendors involved with providing computer systems and/or support for the district.
JOB GOAL: Responsible for administering the District’s computer systems and network, both instructional and management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology/Computer Science preferred.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certification.
- Microsoft Certified Products Specialist in Internet Systems.
- Five years of experience working with Microsoft networks (LANS/WANS).
- Five years of experience working with hardware and software installation, repair, and support.
- Proven interpersonal skills to effectively direct, supervise and participate with staff and the public.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Promotes an environment/climate conducive to productive performance.
- Build, Maintains, and Backup for severs and networks
- Plans for and manages the resources for which he/she is responsible, including personnel, finances, facilities, programs, and time.
- Communicates accurately and effectively to all staff.
- Uses supervision, staff development, and performance evaluation to improve the program of the district.
- Provides for the design, installation, setup, management, repair and support of the district’s data, phone, and video networks.
- Provides training for the district’s data, phone, and video networks.
- Provides for the installation, setup, repair and support of personal computer and network hardware and software.
- Trains personnel as needed in the use of hardware and software for computers.
- Maintain and develop CMS network storage and backups for recovery.
- Design and Maintain Wireless Network Management.
- Manage and Maintain School District Ipads and AirWatch software.
- Manage and Maintain School Firewalls and Content Filters.
- Helpdesk management
- Maintain Mitel phone system (extensions, DID numbers, voicemail, etc.)
- Facilitate repairs of district owned equipment.
- Maintain intranet and district’s websites.
- Assist district staff with quotes for technology purchases.
- Develop departmental operating procedures.
- Lead IT management team (planning, development, and implementation of departmental goals and strategies).
- Provides for preventive maintenance of personal computers and networks.
- Trains, troubleshoots, and supports various administrative software packages.
- Provides district programming as needed.
- Approve purchases for all district-wide technology maintenance/support renewals (software, on-line subscriptions, etc).
- Assists with the AS400 operations and its network connections.
- Directs or causes to be directed the planning and implementation of the District’s Technology Plan.
- Prepare documentation and filing for E-Rate funding annually
- Travels to various sites to provide assistance as needed.
- Requires some after-hours and weekend work depending on the situation.
- Provides training for various curriculum and management programs as needed.
- Provides support for the investigation of improper use of the district computers, networks, e-mail and Internet services.
- Such other functions as directed by the Superintendent.
