What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stage Support Representative position at Carlsbad Municipal Schools?
Effectively use resources to assist the Head of Technology, Stage Manager, and other District Personnel (as assigned by either the Head of Technology or the Stage Manager) in the installation, operation maintenance, and management of the CMS Districts lighting, audio, props, video, automation, and rigging for live shows, and special events across the district.
- Stage Support Representative Level 1- Duties and Responsibilities
- Positive, professional demeanor, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Research parts, equipment, hardware, and other technology needs and communicates requirements to the Stage Manager.
- Completes work assignments and ensures all work is completed correctly and efficiently.
- Keeps customers informed of project status when necessary and communicates up, down and laterally when problems are encountered.
- Maintains technology help desk system and ensures jobs are completed as assigned based on the priority set by the Stage Manager.
- Provides for the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with staff customers, and users, to determine stage show needs and specifications.
- Provides for the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of district Audio, Video, and Theater Lighting throughout the District.
- Provides for the testing or modification of theatrical stage equipment as they relate to each of the districts stage’s.
- Ensures the installation, setup, repair and support of Audio, Video, and Theatrical lighting equipment.
- Trains personnel as needed in the use of hardware, software and network equipment associated with Audio, Video, and Theatrical Lighting equipment throughout the district.
- Provides for preventive maintenance of Audio, Video, and Theatrical Lighting throughout the district.
- Maintains the district warranty/repair process.
- Assists the Computer, Networking, and Systems Departments when approved by the Stage Manager or the Head of Technology.
- Travels to various sites to provide assistance as needed.
- Cross trains in other Technology areas as needed.
- Frequently requires after-hours and weekend work depending on show schedule.
- Requires highest levels of customer support and interaction to provide first-class service and support for all technology needs to meet educational requirements.
- Other functions as directed by the Stage Manager, the Head of Technology, or the Superintendent.
