Position Description
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing indirect purchase orders (POs) and ensuring the efficient procurement of non-production-related goods and services. Additionally, this role will manage replenishment orders for surgical instruments and inventory, including coordinating sterilization processes to maintain quality and regulatory compliance. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party partners to optimize procurement operations and ensure timely availability of essential supplies.
Responsibilities
1. Indirect Procurement Management:
- Develop and manage indirect purchase orders, including office supplies, services, and non-production materials.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor and track PO progress to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of indirect POs, contracts, and supplier information.
- Perform spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings.
2. Replenishment Order Management for Instruments and Inventory:
- Oversee replenishment orders for surgical instruments and inventory, ensuring sufficient stock levels to meet operational demands.
- Manage the end-to-end order process, including requisitioning, order placement, tracking, and receipt confirmation.
- Maintain relationships with critical suppliers and service providers, ensuring reliable and efficient replenishment cycles.
- Implement strategies for inventory optimization and reduction of excess or obsolete items.
- Develop and maintain inventory reports, KPIs, and metrics for tracking order efficiency and accuracy.
3. Sterilization Process Coordination:
- Collaborate with sterilization partners to manage instrument and implant sterilization schedules and requirements.
- Track sterilization compliance and documentation to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Coordinate logistics for the sterilization of replenished instruments and implants.
- Resolve any issues related to instrument sterilization, including delays or non-conformities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing indirect purchase orders and working with vendors and suppliers.
- Experience with replenishment order management for medical instruments and inventory.
- Familiarity with sterilization processes and quality control standards in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and procurement software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Compensation
We are pleased to provide a competitive salary and benefits. Our benefits reflect our investment in the overall health and well-being of our employees and their families. including paying 100% of monthly healthcare, dental & vision insurance premiums, a 401(k) plan with employer matching and unlimited PTO. The expected pay range is: $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on related skills, experience, and relevant key attributes.
