Carlson Distributing is seeking a proactive Full-Time Merchandiser to join our team and manage our diverse product assortment throughout Utah. This role focuses on the Large Format sector, ensuring our products are displayed effectively and comply with all relevant regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Merchandise Products: Organize and arrange products according to schematics, ensuring shelves, displays, and racks are fully stocked and neat.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain product freshness and adhere to all state and federal regulations.
- Manage Inventory: Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate pricing and updating signage as needed.
- Organize Workspaces: Keep back rooms tidy and uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate: Communicate effectively with sales teams and management regarding account updates and any issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to regularly lift and move products, involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently and maintain order.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to high standards of product presentation and workspace cleanliness.
- Communication: Effective interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Relationship Building: Ability to foster positive interactions with customers and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, sales, or customer service is beneficial.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.
- Flexibility: Availability for early mornings, extended hours, and occasional weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting: Regularly lift up to 35 lbs., and occasionally up to 165 lbs.
- Activity: Stand, walk, and drive for most of the workday.
- Manual Dexterity: Handle products and equipment, with the ability to reach, pull, twist, bend, and climb.
- Vision: Capable of close vision, distance vision, and color differentiation.
