Position Overview:
Carlson Software is seeking a qualified Electronic Assembly Technician to support the production and testing of our latest GPS systems. This role focuses on the hands-on assembly and validation of electronic and mechanical components that power our advanced surveying and machine control technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly of GPS products
- Conduct product testing and validation in accordance with quality control procedures
- Read and interpret assembly drawings accurately
- Apply established techniques and tools to ensure precise soldering and mechanical assembly
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to processes or designs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred; background in Electrical Engineering Technology is beneficial
- 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with electronics quality control standards, including IPC standards
- Soldering certification is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule:
37 hours per week
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
