Carlson Machine Control provides on-machine GPS/GNSS guidance systems for the earthmoving and land development industries worldwide. The division specializes in positioning and reporting solutions that identify opportunities to improve productivity and safety onsite.
The Carlson Machine Control team is seeking a Product Technician to support field installation while troubleshooting, and solving complex problems. The ideal candidate is motivated, independent, and professional with a passion for big machines as well as a knack for how things work as well as advanced knowledge of DC electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting capability.

Responsibilities:
- Install and QC installed systems aboard large machines and heavy equipment
- Install and test networking connections
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems
- Provide product-specific training to customers in the field
- Diagnose and often times repair mechanical issues
- Be adaptive and creative with installs
- Ensure stability to comprehensive systems
Qualifications:
- DC electrical systems experience
- Hands-on mechanical experience
- Soldering and crimping experience
- Networking background
- Great problem-solving and communication skills
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Must be willing to travel 80% or more
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors
Education: High School Diploma, post-technical training is a plus
