Position overview
As a Cloud Platform Services Senior Engineer you will play a key role in supporting, managing and administering cloud technology solutions across multiple platforms. Our team provides designed solutions for systems in multiple data centers and dozens of remote office sites around the globe. You will be heavily involved in the day-to-day support and management of our existing private, public and hybrid cloud environments. To fulfil the needs of this specialized team, the person that fills this role will be a subject matter expert in cloud platform services with a 'customer first' mentality in a culture that is service-oriented.
Position Description
* Provide support for multiple platforms in a multi-cloud environment on a global scale.
* Maintain stability and operations of the production environment, as well as provide feedback and potential opportunities for improvement to processes and technologies.
* Prioritize tasks and goals assigned to you directly and complete them within the timeframe allotted.
* Proactively communicate with peers, internal customers and leadership to set expectations of assigned work and delivery dates.
* Work and collaborate with other team members inside and outside of Enterprise IT.
* Adhere to CWT Change Control processes and policies.
* Engage in Major Incident resolution as needed.
* Contribute to the development of implementation of automated administration solutions.
* Work close with business, development, and application teams to align with business requirements and strategies.
* Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
* Familiarity with ITIL processes, practices in a corporate environment.
* Understanding of networking concepts and principles.
* Strong understanding of storage concepts and principles.
* Overall Linux and Microsoft Windows knowledge.
* Strong understanding of IT Operations processes and procedures.
* Strong aptitude for analysis and diagnosis of complex technical issues.
* Scripting skills for the purpose of writing automation code.
* Strong interpersonal and general communication skills.
* Self-motivated, independent learner.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
* Work with urgency to complete work timely and communicate changes in delivery proactively.
Languages:* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Experience & Education:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or other related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
* 7 to 10 years of work experience supporting one or more of the following platforms/technologies:
o Microsoft Windows Server
o Linux, Solaris or AIX
o VMWare ESX, Nutanix ???
o HP, NetApp, Pure storage platforms
o Amazon Web Services
o Microsoft Azure
* Experience with workload builds in both private and public cloud environments.
* Experience with deploying and managing vulnerability management solutions
* Experience with supporting and managing virtual infrastructure in a medium to large global environment.
* Experience with managing and maintaining server hardware.
* Experience with one or more of the following areas:
o Data Centers
o Project Management
o Service Monitoring in a large enterprise environment
