Job Summary

Work as a team with the Executive Director and the Sales Director to achieve and exceed budget occupancy by assisting community Sales Director in any and all aspects of marketing and sales. Will be directly responsible for all aspects of sales, including in-house and external sales and revenue, public relations and tracking of all appropriate information while on community assignment. Support company-wide marketing initiatives and community Sales Director.
Essential Duties and responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Manage data base of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, in calls, aged leads, business directories, websites, and other sources.
- Make outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Provide effective tours to qualified or otherwise interested customers on request.
- Articulation of company philosophy and features benefits of services offered.
- Manage collateral inventory.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
Qualifications
- Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Interact well with our Carlton Family – residents, family members, all staff members, future residents.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written or oral instructions.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to identify downstream consequences and long-term outcomes of change to operations.
- Education and Experience
- A.A. degree preferred
- 2 years related sales experience, to include negotiation, time management, and troubleshooting.
- According to Title 22 requirements, employee must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must possess basic financial understanding of revenue and profitability.
- Certificates, License, Registration
- Current First Aid Certification (obtained through community)
- DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to working in community (obtained through community)
- Health screening and negative TB test, must be less than six (6) months old (obtained through community)
