Interior Design Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a go getter attitude This role involves assisting in day to day project needs, such as meeting subcontractors, delivering packages, assisting in client presentation prep, picking up and dropping off samples, and miscellaneous tasks. The Interior Design Assistant will be responsible for managing product inventory, communicating and meeting with necessary sub-contractors, and assisting in design tasks as needed. The candidate will need to have reliable transportation, a general knowledge in interior design principles, construction materials, and be a self starter.

Duties

• Inventory, labeling, managing and delivering product
• Meeting subcontractors on site
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Canva
• Handling product returns
• Emailing with clients and vendors
• Miscellaneous design tasks
• Assisting in sourcing and client presentations
• Note taking in meeting

Qualifications

• Proven experience in interior design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Google workspace and Canva.
• Strong knowledge of general construction, wallpaper, millwork, tile, plumbing, and electrical.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with tradesman and clients.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Experience in remodeling or renovation projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends

• Great Barrington, MA 01230 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Great Barrington, MA 01230: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
