Job Summary:
Carma Connected is looking for a Public Relations Senior Account Executive to join the team in our Miami Beach office. The Senior Account Executive will work with a VP and other senior staff as part of a team and will be responsible for performing a number of high-level duties and managing multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate has a minimum of four to six years of experience in lifestyle and hospitality public relations plus impeccable writing skills, excellent client communication, and outstanding existing relationships with media both locally and nationally. The candidate should be an ambitious, highly organized, and passionate professional who possesses the ability to think creatively and strategically, as well as manage and motivate a team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting VPs in strategy development
- Managing multiple client accounts and maintaining daily client communication
- Writing press kit documents, media alerts, pitch letters, bios, and other materials
- Proactively developing and executing targeted pitches, consistently securing media coverage across local, regional, national, and international outlets
- Maintaining existing and developing new relationships with media contacts, and staying current on relevant beat changes and industry movements
- Coordinating and overseeing photoshoots, television shoots, interviews, and other on-site events
- Monitoring trends and researching articles and suitable story opportunities/angles for clients
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, helping them grow their skills and ensuring high-quality output across all deliverables
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years of experience in lifestyle and hospitality public relations
- Impeccable writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills
- Outstanding existing relationships with media both locally and nationally as well as strong familiarity with various media outlets
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and professional
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Track record of successfully mentoring junior team members
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with key media members
- Experience in coordinating and overseeing events and on-site activities
