Carmel Youth Center is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Youth Program Teacher. This position requires a passionate individual who has experience working with children and can lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support social-emotional development.
The ideal candidate will ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children, building positive relationships with families and the community. They will implement curriculum aligned with learning frameworks and child development principles, supervising indoor/outdoor activities and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a minimum of 18 years of age, with 12 units in Child Development, ECE, or a related field (AA/BA preferred). A minimum of 2 years of experience in a child care or teaching environment is required, along with strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills. Additionally, they must be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) and able to meet California state requirements, including Live Scan, TB test, and Mandated Reporter training.
