Delivery Driver

Requirements:
- High school or equivalent required and must pass background check
- Clean driving record and ability to pass the Pre-employment Medical Exam
- Pass drug test as part of the post job offer employment screening process
- Clean valid chauffeur’s license
- 5 Years experience
- Own a smart phone
- Reading and mathematical skills; ability to work independently
- Professional appearance
- Must have the necessary skills, articulation and professionalism to interact with our customers
- Requires some heavy lifting and working in all weather conditions
- Must have adequate experience that demonstrates reliability and professionalism
- Honesty, Integrity, Trustworthiness and Dependability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate and maneuver some warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, in the manner necessary to move products consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive truck to transport food and wine to our customers
- Verify loads against delivery manifests and obtain signed receipts for products delivered
- Verify the quantities and description of products against delivery manifests
- Examines product for damages and shortages; appropriately reports/records any discrepancies
- Ability to mathematically adjust invoices for any discrepancies and communicate effectively with office and customers
- Ability to call the office for assistance while out on the road
- Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move product for delivery
- Professionally represent the company while interacting with our customers
- Effectively and safely deliver our products to satisfy customers’ expectations of a timely delivery
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operations
- Collect payment based on invoice terms; verifies checks are signed and cash is correct
- Follow all Company safety procedures; ability to drive a 26,000 lb Straight Truck
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
