Overview
We are seeking a dedicated House coordinator/Lead to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of CARMENS HOUSE The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care and support to residents in a home environment. This is a group home for ID/DD individuals.
Duties
- Manage the overall functioning of the household, including scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by implementing appropriate behavioral health practices
- Handle crisis intervention situations effectively and with compassion
- Maintain accurate records through data collection and entry for resident care plans
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments as needed
- Coordinate home community care services and liaise with healthcare providers
- Engage in social work activities to enhance residents' quality of life ( community outings )
- Manage emails, phone calls, mail, and coordinate meetings. Ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication within the environment
- Lead staff development with training, manage and supervise rehabilitation programs, and ensure the proper upkeep of the housing facilities
Requirements
- Experience in behavioral health or related field is preferred
- Proficiency in conflict management and crisis intervention techniques
- Certification in first aid and medication administration is REQUIRED.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of data collection methods for maintaining accurate records
- Previous experience in social work or caregiving roles is beneficial AND A MUST HAVE.
- Experience in a group home is REQUIRED
Avalibility
- Monday-Friday
- 7am-4pm/8am-5pm mostly but willingly to stay later or pick up shifts when needed ( sick leaves , call outs , vacation days , inclement weather )
