Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Team Lead to oversee and drive the success of our cleaning teams in Central and Northern NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising two teams (comprising 2 people each, including yourself), ensuring high-quality cleaning services, and maintaining accountability for your team’s performance. You will also operate a company fleet vehicle to transport your team to various job sites. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong sense of accountability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both people and tasks effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Lead and manage two cleaning teams (2 people per team, including yourself) to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
- Fleet Vehicle Operation: Safely drive a company vehicle to transport your team to and from job sites.
- Training: Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Daily Cleaning Duties: Perform standard cleaning tasks as needed, including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between your teams and upper management, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring teams have the necessary tools to complete their tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during shifts, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Reporting: Provide daily reports to upper management on team performance, completed tasks, and any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, supervision, or a related field (less experience will be considered for the right candidate).
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take accountability for team performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $900.00 - $950.00 per week
