Job Description
Carmeuse Americas is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including electric motors, controls, and scales.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on instrumentation and automated components, including calibrations as required.
• Test and monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Monitor work done for adherence to NEC requirements.
• Maintain service and repair records, including those necessary for MSHA compliance.
• Follow blueprints to determine wiring and equipment locations and ensure building and safety code compliance.
• Analyze and respond safely to routine and emergency repair calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High School Graduate or GED equivalency
• Passing score on a Ramsay Journeyman Electrician exam
• Completion of required pre-employment testing, including physical, drug screen, and background check
• Competency in preventative, predictive, and computerized electrical maintenance management systems
• 5 years industrial electrician experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, single-phase and three-phase (120, 240, & 480v) systems, DC units, and large horsepower units
• Fluency in spoken and written English
