Job Description
The Electrical Supervisor will work with the Maintenance team to oversee the daily operations of the Mine Maintenance Department. Responsibilities of the position include :
Analyze downtime reports in order to delete trends and correct systems of problems before they affect production;
Monitor planned maintenance system (SAP) for completion of electrical maintenance;
Be a role model in Safety performance for the electrical shop as well as others;
Work with Maintenance Planner on electrical repairs and preventive maintenance of process equipment;
Maintenance of the Quality System policies and procedures; creation or review of all work instructions in department for operational content;
Compile and maintain a calibration list of inspection, measuring and test calibration equipment and establish calibration frequencies;
Implement and maintain the control procedure for inspection, measuring and test process and calibration equipment;
Verify equipment requiring calibration is currently calibrated; ensure production trouble calls are answered in a timely manner, problems are corrected and equipment downtime minimized;
Oversee the local Electrical Training program. Assist with other Maintenance Training as needed, including mentoring Maintenance Apprentices;
Supervise and support of Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance activities;
Requirements
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred;
7 years of Electrical experience in heavy industrial manufacturing;
5 years of supervisory experience;
Industry background in heavy manufacturing related; mining, paper mills, steel plants, refining, utilities, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants industries preferred
Working knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance;
Good skills in problem solving and employee management and the ability to apply those skills in a manufacturing facility;
Strong computer skills; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), (experience with SAP is highly preferred), MS Office; Microsoft Project experience is a plus
Knowledge of specialized control systems, or ability to learn and apply it; Experience in PLC or Wonderware troubleshooting a plus
Familiar with programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives;
Strong interpersonal / people skills; results driven; self-starter; able to initiate and be willing to hold others accountable for achieving company and site objectives
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, and blueprints
Ability to write and communicate routine reports and correspondence
Proven in leading operational excellence through applying behavior based management
