This role will give you an opportunity to interact with our wonderful guests and work with great people. As a shift supervisor your primary responsibility is ensuring that the service on the floor is running smoothly and efficiently and our guests are having the ultimate dining experience, much of your time will be spent on the floor focusing on the most important area- OUR guests!Your Role with Us : The Floor Supervisor will set the stage by ensuring we are delivering excellent hospitality, great guest experiences by visiting every table throughout the shift, building relationships, learning of feedback before there are issues, and informing our guests of more opportunities to dine with us (Special events, catering, take out, or our sister restaurants Virgil’s Real BBQ).Ensures that floor sections and staffing levels for the day are organized at appropriate levels based on both reservations and walk-in foot traffic. (Balances proper coverage with both indoor and outdoor dining areas).Direct team members throughout the shift to ensure side work responsibilities are fulfilled and setup and breakdown of the dining areas is properly completed in a timely manner.Assist hourly positions by redirecting resources, coordinating breaks and cuts, and communicating needs or staff concerns with managementSupport the training program with new hourly FOH team members with Follow ups and skill out training; assist with FOH team member interviews and onboarding.Actively participates in quality of our steps of service and consistently works to drive PPA ‘s through suggestive selling, contests, and other sales drivers while on the floor Touching base with the chef on any potential challenges, allergies, etc.Consulting with salaried management for all difficult guest interactions : cutting people off, unhappy guests after initial table visit, irate or extremely upset guests, etc.Leaving feedback on Scheduling levels and conferring with salaried managers to make decisions on any adjustments needed for scheduling on future shifts.Completion of all daily tasks listed on the manager checklist.We Are Looking for Candidates : 3-5 years of restaurant experience in fast paced high-volume restaurants Quick Service / Hotel / Full Service.Basic understanding of cleanliness standards in each area of the restaurant : greet stand, dining room, the bar, kitchen, restrooms, steward station, etc.The successful candidate must have outgoing personality with a welcoming presence on the dining room floor alongside excellent time management and organizational skillsGood judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.Excellent communication skills- verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guestsDisplay a passion for service and exceeding our guests' needs.Must be reliable, dependable, and guest and employee focused.Strong computer skills and knowledge of Aloha, Open Table, Excel, Word, and timekeeping softwareWillingness to learn and be developed to a great salaried Manager.Must be Fluent in English.Open flexibility to work various shifts.Experience in a fast-paced high-volume environmentCompany Description The WOW Factor is What Sets Us Apart from the Others!Carmine’s Iconic Family Style Italian restaurant has been serving up classic dishes for over 30 years!
