What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Carnahan Therapy?
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a highly movitated multi-tasker with a strong work ethic, who is dependable, friendly, responsible, honest, adaptable, and enjoys coming to work. This is a full time position. We are willing to consider a part time schedule if you are the right candidate for our team.
As a Physical therapist you will evaluate, develop, and progress each patient's plan of care to help them regain movement and manage pain following an injury, illness, or surgical procedure.
Carnahan Therapy is an out-patient clinic located in a small community where we have been providing care for over 30 years. We take pride in delivering quality therapy to our patients. You will be joining a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about the therapy treatment they provide while also creating a satisfying, fun work enviroment.
- Duties
- Evaluate and assess patients' conditions to determine their physical therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to assist patients in their recovery
- Implement Myfascial Release, manual therapy, deep tissue massage, Therapeutic Massage, cupping, or graston techniques
- Implement Estim treatments or neuromuscular treatments
- Implement - hot or cold therapy
- Educate patients and their families on at-home outpatient Rehabilitation, that may include exercises and self-care techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the treatment process
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Supervise PTA's and Techs's
- Skills
- Experience in outpatient, hospital, orthopedics, and geriatrics settings
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with home community care practices
