What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Client Success position at Carnegie Dartlet?
The Director of Client Success is at the center of Carnegie’s client partnerships, serving as the internal sales lead and a high-level strategic resource for higher education clients while aligning company services to meet their needs. The Director must possess a deep knowledge of the higher education landscape and today’s enrollment and marketing trends while being a dynamic leader equipped with the skills to navigate campus politics and build deep, lasting relationships with clients. They are also critically important in leading integration within Carnegie’s growing internal structure, advocating for clients internally, and acting as the fusion point for work across divisions to ensure client success, satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationships
- Own relationships with clients while developing a deep understanding of their goals and priorities in order to extend and expand partnerships over time
- Lead internal teams, advocating for clients and serving as the internal authority on client needs and experience
- Work seamlessly with the Account Management team to ensure a positive client experience
- Sales
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan for a portfolio of clients
- Cultivate consultative relationships with clients and package integrated solutions
- Effectively and proactively manage sales pipeline, proposals, and contract processes
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in higher education enrollment management and/or marketing
- Strong sales acumen and competitive drive
- Ability to travel an average of 25% of the year
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and quickly formulate solutions to complex problems
- Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to build and nurture client and employee relationships
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and receive constructive feedback
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google tools (Slides, Docs, Sheets)
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 or more years experience in enrollment management, higher education marketing, or corporate sales and/or consulting
