What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Online Program Experience (OPX) Solutions position at Carnegie Dartlet?
As Carnegie seeks to expand its presence in the online program market, we are looking for a dynamic and strategic executive sales leader with a track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performance sales organizations from the ground up. This leader will be instrumental in shaping the vision, structure, and growth strategy for our OPX division, driving market penetration, and establishing Carnegie as the premier provider of online program solutions in higher education. The Vice President, OPX Solutions is responsible for leading and driving sales and revenue growth for the OPX division of the company through direct sales, sales team development, disciplinary integration and innovation, cross-team collaboration, thought leadership, strategic partnerships, and integrated pursuits focused on both new and existing client opportunities and initiatives to deliver Carnegie’s portfolio of OPX solutions to higher education domestically and internationally. As the company’s leader of OPX sales, the VP, OPX Solutions has a core responsibility to create the sales plan, drive sales, meet goals and targets, and deliver growth through new clients, existing clients, and client expansion opportunities across Carnegie’s entire suite of services. The role is also critical in representing Carnegie’s capabilities as our primary spokesperson and expert for this practice.
Responsibilities:
Overview
- Build and own the sales plan for OPX for Carnegie.
- Own the development of all sales pursuits related to OPX, and deliver the sales goals related all accounts for OPX
- Work in partnership as needed with existing client sales leaders on all renewal pursuits related to,Online Program Experience and likewise deliver the sales goals related to all existing and renewal accounts for OPX
- Partner with Marketing and Business Development to deliver on all Inbound and New Business pursuits related to OPX and ensure that leaders and sales representatives in the Marketing and Business Development division have the training and support they need to deliver on their sales goals and initiatives
- Partner with the leaders of all Carnegie business units to share feedback and perspective to optimize the OPX solution for our clients
- Design and build the right go-to-market and growth sales team to accomplish all goals
- Help to identify, hire, train and manage new sellers as they join your team
- Support being Carnegie’s voice, presence, and presenter at conferences, webinars, and industry meetings to further establish Carnegie as a market leader in OPX.
Details
- Develop the sales plan to attract and gain new and existing clients to Carnegie’s OPX solution.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary leaders and team members from all divisions and departments spanning sales, account management, and production, to ensure successful deployment of solutions, including new business reps, senior strategists, client success leaders, executive sales leaders, and enrollment strategists.
- Work in partnership with existing Clients Sales Leaders to create and present proposals to capture OPX opportunities from existing clients.
- Manage other executive sellers as they join your team.
- Work in partnership with existing Growth Team Members to create and present proposals to capture OPX opportunities from existing clients from this cohort.
- Work in collaboration with the SVP of Marketing and the CMBDO and business unit leaders to further develop our story and positioning for proposals, pitches, and presentations
- Collaborate with Carnegie’s Marketing leader on Business Development materials and events.
- Own and manage Carnegie OPX revenue forecasting and collaborate to ensure visibility to all parties accountable for delivery.
- Help support knowledge sharing and cross-functional training within all teams related to OPX.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts on proposal and pitch deliverables, interfacing with prospective clients, contributing to written RFP responses, and managing pitch presentations.
- Support all teams in understanding client needs, their roles in delivering and coaching as applicable.
- Develop and maintain high-profile external relationships with client constituents, professional organizations, etc. (public relations presence).
- Work with the team to develop an approach to monitor overall sector/services/offerings potential as well as opportunity and market and competitor activities to provide insights and feedback to company leaders.
- Stay on top of industry trends to understand the direction of the industry and the impact on Carnegie’s offerings.
- Provide perspective and ideas on relevant acquisitions to enhance and grow solutions in the space.

- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- 10 years of experience in higher education enrollment and/or marketing specifically for online programs
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
