What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development & Communications Deputy Director position at Carnegie Hill Neighbors?
Carnegie Hill Neighbors (“CHN”) is a 501c3 organization which preserves the residential character and architectural heritage of the Carnegie Hill neighborhood in NYC and protects the area in myriad ways -- including a dedicated safety patrol, efforts to block development which impact the historic neighborhood (a current example is 5G sidewalk cell towers), and street tree care and planting to help mitigate environmental pollution and beautify our streets. Beautification of The Park Avenue mall, greening and cleaning the streetscape, and advocacy efforts to ensure authentic historic context are the crux of our efforts. Carnegie Hill is famous for livability and a high concentration of young families and older adults aging gracefully in place. The streets are safe, clean, and green with an array of local small businesses. Over 50 percent of Carnegie Hill has historic designation status.
