**Overview:**
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Host/Host to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and creating a positive dining experience.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Every hosts’ primary duty is to greet guests upon arrival and assist the guests with all inquires. The Host Position reports directly to the Front of House Manager.
HOST REQUIREMENTS
· At least 16 years of age
· Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods
· Have knowledge of food and beverage products
· Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs
· Maintain a professional relationship with all employees and guests
· Maintain a clean, organized, stocked and safe work environment
· Report to work on time, in uniform and be willing to work
· Assume 100% responsibility for all money transactions
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
· All attire must be clean and professional in appearance
· Business casual attire
· Non-skid shoes preferred
· Hair below shoulders must be pulled back and restrained
· Noticeable tattoos/body markings must be covered
· Jewelry must not be excessive (manager’s discretion) / earrings must be less than 1 inch
JOB DUTIES
· Maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients (includes alcohol)
· Greet guest upon arrival
· Direct guests to their seat or assist them with directions through the hotel
· Maintain server rotation
· Answer all phone calls
· Take reservations via all avenues (walk-in, phone, online)
· Maintain and organize reservation system
· Inform manager of any guest related issues
· Perform side work throughout shift
· Assist servers with bussing tables
· Maintain a clean restaurant/hotel at all times
· Ensure great customer service
