Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for a Full-Time Assistant Volleyball Coach. Carnegie Mellon has a world-renowned reputation with core values that reflect its commitment to hiring and retaining individuals with a diversity of talents, perspectives and experiences. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III and University Athletic Association. This is a Full-Time, 10-month coaching position to be held during the academic year.
Core responsibilities include:
Assist with skill instruction, motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions under direction of the head coach
Assist head coach with planning, implementation, and supervision of training and practices
Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student athletes
Exhibit supportive and cooperation behavior pursuing sport programs goals as set by head coach
Demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with student athletes
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
1-3 years of athletic coaching experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Additional Information:
Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
Travel Requirements: You should be able to travel both domestically and internationally and be willing to work outside normal business hours as needed.
