What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of High Impact Learning – Tepper School of Business position at Carnegie Mellon University?
The Tepper School of Business lives at the heart of Carnegie Mellon University, guided by a mission to transform the world, pioneering and innovating at the intersection of business, technology, and analytics.
The Director of High Impact Learning provides leadership in developing, executing, and assessing high impact curricular and cocurricular activities for Undergraduate Programs in the Tepper School of Business. Together with Tepper leadership, they contribute to the prioritization of high impact and experiential learning, collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners, and serve as the primary assessment lead for these efforts. This position also includes a limited academic advising portfolio.
- Develop, lead, and assess co-curricular experiential learning and co-curricular opportunities
- Coordinate undergraduate research opportunities for students and Tepper faculty; liaison with the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholar Development
- Oversee the distribution of undergraduate experiential learning funds
- Coordinate and promote outbound study abroad opportunities; Advise incoming department exchange students
- Support the identification of curricular project opportunities
- Manage the promotion and application of curricular project opportunities
- Lead first-year and external transfer orientation programs
- Represent the Tepper School of Business on the Study Abroad Advisory Board, CMU Family Engagement committee, and CMU Orientation committee
- Provide academic advising to students pursuing Tepper additional majors / minors
- Serve on the Undergraduate Programs leadership triad and contribute to the unit’s vision and team development
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
5-8 years of relevant work experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Work Posture : This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus / in-office presence three days a week.
