The Heinz XR Lab Technician will support the development, testing, and deployment of extended reality (XR) applications and experiences within Heinz College. This role involves maintaining XR hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, hosting weekly XR demonstrations, working as a teaching assistant for Communication in XR courses, and collaborating with faculty and students to enhance immersive learning and professional development initiatives.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with XR hardware and software, including VR/AR development tools.
- Prior teaching experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with Spatial, Meta Horizon Workrooms, and Engage applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose technical issues in XR environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic setting with faculty.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide technical assistance to non-technical users.
