The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ranks among the best in the country. Our research programs are at the forefront of the technologies that have changed the world we live in. ECE is seeking a Research Scientist to join the team! This position is responsible for determining priorities for the project area based on overall organizational goals. In addition, this role will direct the work of project members to ensure goals are achieved in addition to frequently presenting research findings to current or potential sponsors and at major national or international conferences.

Core Responsibilities:       

  • Propose and lead independent research goals within scope of projects.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Contributor in developing and documenting research findings and collaborator in writing scientific papers.
  • Acts as team leader, providing project management direction.
  • Lead research efforts within main goals of project, and help coordinate interactions with other team members and universities.
  • Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports and participating in meetings/committees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of research experience.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
