Staff Accountant (Financial Compliance)

As a Staff Accountant, you will work with a variety of departments at the company to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. This role is responsible for performing account management duties for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, prepare financial reports for appropriate federal and state authorities (including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports), assist with the development of processes for financial control of operations, preparation of PBCs, assistance during financial statement audits, providing assistance with treasury duties, and weekly cash uploads to the GL. A fire and passion for working with seniors A flexible, fun, and energetic personality Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Previous experience in an Accounting department required Advanced Microsoft Office skills required; high proficiency in Excel is a must A minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required Ability to consistently meet hard deadlines Must possess a commitment to client support Professional image in both appearance and behavior Excellent written and oral communication skills How Can You Benefit?
