Job Summary:
FARM at Carneros Resort and Spa is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Entry-Level Sommelier to provide expert wine service that enhances our guests' dining experience. Guided by Forbes luxury service standards, you will play a key role in curating memorable moments for our guests while contributing to the resort’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Recommend wine pairings to guests based on their preferences, the menu, and seasonal offerings.
Deliver personalized and attentive wine service in alignment with Forbes luxury standards.
Assist in maintaining and managing the wine inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely reordering.
Provide ongoing training and support to servers and bartenders to elevate their wine knowledge and service skills.
Support and participate in special wine events, tastings, and promotions hosted by FARM.
Stay informed about wine trends and local vineyard offerings to make relevant recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in wine service or a similar role within luxury hospitality.
A strong passion for wine, with formal training or certification (e.g., WSET Level 1 or 2) preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment while upholding high standards of service.
Familiarity with the unique needs of Carneros Resort’s dining outlets, including FARM, Boonfly Café, and Hilltop Dining Room.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Capability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
