Lathe Operator

Carnes Company is looking for a skilled Lathe Operator to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality machined components. As a Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes to machine parts according to specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on lathes.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lathe Operator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
