Spanish Teacher for a Private Middle School in Jackson, MS
We are seeking a qualified Spanish Teacher to join our team at a private middle school in Jackson, MS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students in grades 6-8.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide conversational classes focusing on pronunciation and important words and phrases.
- Teach writing and Spanish composition classes.
- Conduct research on teaching methods and materials to enhance student learning.
- Schedule and prepare students for oral and written examinations.
- Maintain student progress through reports and assessments.
- Organize feedback sessions with students and parents as needed.
- Recommend further learning opportunities and schedule intervention sessions for struggling students.
- Introduce students to Spanish culture, including traditions, food, dress, and social conventions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Spanish language or literature.
- Proven proficiency in Spanish, both written and verbal.
- 2-3 years of teaching experience.
- No teaching license required.
