Job Summary:
The Finished Goods Lead is responsible for overseeing the storage, inventory management, and distribution of finished products within the warehouse. This role ensures that all finished goods are properly received, organized, and shipped according to company standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics. Other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Finished Goods Management & Inventory Control:
- Oversee the storage and organization of finished goods to ensure efficient space utilization and accessibility.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and handling of finished goods to prevent damage and misplacement.
- Work closely with production, quality control, and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely order processing.
Shipping & Distribution:
- Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Work with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Verify that all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips, is accurate and properly maintained.
- Assist in resolving shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies as they arise.
Leadership & Team Supervision:
- Lead, train, and support a team of warehouse associates handling finished goods.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the team.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees on best practices and company policies.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify opportunities to enhance warehouse efficiency and streamline inventory management processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and food safety or industry-specific standards if applicable.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software to update stock levels and track product movement.
- Work with quality assurance teams to address any issues related to finished goods handling or storage.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2 years in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP, or inventory tracking software is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
