Position Overview
A Process Engineer designs and develops layouts for production and warehouse operations to increase efficiency, productivity and quality standards. Their main duties include reviewing current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements, designing the layouts of the facilities and estimating production costs.
What you'll do
- Develop and streamline the process of creating drawings that require curved cuts.
- Structural modeling of CAD drawings for shaped products to be cut for production.
- Structural modeling of CAD drawing for other projects including but not limited to creation of drawings to support process improvement and new fixtures and other needs supporting operations.
- Serve as the communication liaison between production and customer service as it relates to customer orders and design.
- Transfer drawings to appropriate department for manufacturing.
- Preparing construction illustrations documents for customer approval.
- Developing new design models to expand product offering.
- Recommending design improvements to management.
- Update and maintain CAD files
- All other duties as assigned
