Position Overview
Custom Puller is responsible to pull all fabric to be cut for cut order and/or custom department in a correct and timely manner.
What you'll do
- Pulls all fabric to be cut for cut order and/or custom department
- Pull minimum standard for number of orders on daily basis as given by the Production Supervisor or Manager.
- On each pull attempt to check the ticket for the fabric against the handing swatch to insure accuracy of pattern and color
- Deduct pulled yardage from the bin card by erasing the number from the card
- Assist in answering stock checks when necessary
- Custom pullers identify the bolt properly by tagging it with tag showing plant number
- Pull all back ordered fabric in a timely basis
- Check all pulls against primary bin location and case bin protest
- Never pull fabric from case bin without first notifying receiving supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are
- High school graduate
- General knowledge of fabrics
- Successfully pass color blind test
- Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling
- Capable of walking/standing for extended periods of time
- Capable of lifting on a continuous basis
- Strong attention to details
- Follow written and verbal instructions
