Position Summary
Account Planner maintains working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain components including forecasting, inventory management, planning, master data management, item lifecycle and disposition, warehouse operations including storing capacity and operations, supplier planning and order fulfillment.
Account Planner will manage the demand planning process for the assigned business units, giving visibility to major shifts in demand, highlighting inventory and supply concerns and supplies management with advanced analysis and communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage Capacity Planning and Production Priorities to ensure no shortage for forward months demand.
Responsible for ensuring the planning tools efficiently and effectively utilize the demand plan as the primary driver along with key data inputs.
Partner with other internal teams to gather input to build the demand plan based on customer requirements and materials.
Provides coaching, feedback, direction, and support to team members to achieve partner, business, and customer results.
Build and maintains a strong partnership with the customer business teams to lead the planning processes.
Develop relationships with cross-functional business unit partners and appropriate supply chain functions to ensure cohesive forecasting and business unit strategies.
Prepare daily reports identifying any relevant problems and recommending solutions that will improve future demand plans.
Supports the coordination and report preparation for the weekly Production Planning meetings with Marketing, Product Management, Materials and Manufacturing. Is proactive in identifying when and where plans fail to meet goals and objectives, and institute actions designed to bring activities back into synchronization.
Tracks and records accurate and timely demand forecast relying on customer requirements and KPIs to improve performance.
Follows ideal stock volumes in terms of materials, to match the customer demand, internal space, and schedules.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, supply chain, operations or engineering is required.
3 years of Planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
3 years’ experience with ERP/MRP and Vendor Managed Inventory (SAP Preferred)
- Ability to work cross functionally both internally and externally with customers.
- Ability to quickly and accurately analyze problems and provide viable solutions using proven lean methodology.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
- Proven organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting and time sensitive priorities.
- Analytical ability and decision making in a complex environment.
- Trouble shooting and analysis through root cause.
- Strong attention to detail

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in wet, humid or outdoor conditions; near moving mechanical parts; with occasional fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; in extreme cold or heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
