Parts Room Administrator
Summary: The Parts Room Administrator is responsible for all materials in the tool crib/parts room, ensuring inventory is accurate and parts are available as needed for machine preventative maintenance & repairs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrator focuses in keeping critical parts organized and kept in an orderly fashion. They are to monitor equipment usage, cost, timelines and be a customer service champion to the plant they are supporting.

- Locate and organize parts, enter them into the CMMS with all corresponding information.
- Control inventory, by making sure that parts are being signed out, as well as received in the system
- Maintain budgetary records and provide follow-up with accounting, vendors, receiving and requestors.
- Re-order parts when we are down on min/max quantities, or as may be required in the CMMS.
- Research availability and sources of purchase for emergency and critical spare parts.
- Coordinate and expedite approvals as required.
- Conduct Daily Cycle Counts, as well as quarterly full inventory counts
- Completes month end inventory performing a physical count.
- Generate usage reports for distribution to plant leadership.
- Service the facility by issuing parts, tools, equipment, and PPE to associates.
- Assist Maintenance with obtaining parts
- Maintain all files and inventory records on all orders placed and received, including delivery time schedule.
- Initiate requisition on spare parts for all production equipment and facility equipment
- Maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of parts, tools and equipment and PPE.
- Work with maintenance to review parts in store room and ID parts that need to be removed due to equipment changes or equipment being removed for plant
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
- Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment
- Assemble rebuild kits for filling Valves.
- Keep Parts Room clean and organized so parts are easy to find
- Maintain organization and inventory of the Motor room
- Safely operate forklift to move motors in and out of the motor room
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus post-secondary maintenance training or comparable experience
- 1 – 3 years of maintenance experience in a production environment
- This position requires above average verbal and written communication skills as well as a high degree of troubleshooting capability. Thorough knowledge of production operations, including all safety requirements

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work in wet, humid or outdoor conditions; near moving mechanical parts; on elevated platforms; with fumes or airborne particles; and vibration exposure.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
