Position Summary:
Manage personnel, materials, machines, and entire production area driving a focus on the company mission of safe, quality, cases.
- Expected to be at least 30 minutes early for shift to download with previous shift, prepare for their shift meeting, and perform the pre-shift meeting with their team with goal to communicate issues occurring on previous shift and set expectation/schedule for their shift.
- Supervise employees to meet manufacturing and production schedules. Coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations. Responsible for all routine functions on the plant floor during an assigned shift. Supervise employees on the manufacturing floor for an assigned shift.
- Build effective relationships with all internal departments to produce a superior product.
- Control workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance work with supervisor and manufacturing needs.
- Monitor all control procedures including waste/recycling management.
- Maintain effective departmental quality and sanitation procedures.
- Work closely with Human Resources to ensure proper staffing and training of team.
- Coach and counsel team members to perform to Carolina Beverage Group standards.
- Alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- First point of contact for all hourly employee concerns.
- Ensure that on a daily basis all Carolina Beverage Group standards and customer commitments (i.e., QA, safety, output, on-time delivery) are followed within the plant.
- Supervise employees to accomplish productivity, safety, quality and efficiency goals.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Maintain an effective, on-going safety plan.
- Enforce plant safety regulations and housekeeping practices and encourage employees to become safety conscious.
- Must have strong commitment to Safety and Quality of products and service.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; some college
- 2-3 years related experience, preferably in beverage manufacturing
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision and Depth perception. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. The employee is also exposed to varying temperatures extremes including heat and cold as the weather varies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work on elevated platforms, with fumes or airborne particles, or with toxic or caustic chemicals. This employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
