What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Dock Clerk - Mon-Fri position at Carolina Beverage?
Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Dock Clerk will be to check truck drivers in and out of the warehouse, handle inbound and outbound paperwork, directing drivers to the correct dock doors, and ensuring the trailers are sealed correctly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Check truck drivers in and out of the warehouse by entering their information into our system.
- Ensure all truck drivers have valid identification and drivers licenses.
- Correctly match driver paperwork with trailer seal and apply trailer seal to outbound shipments.
- Assign truck drivers to dock doors and ensure they pull into the correct door and correct them if necessary.
- Run BOL paperwork out to drivers as needed.
- Gather load paperwork from warehouse operators and follow process of printing and making copies of BOLs to hand to drivers.
- Enter information on essential daily reports.
- Maintain consistent and steady workflow to ensure warehouse efficiency.
- Maintain clean work environment in and outside of the warehouse, dock door areas, ect..
- Work closely with warehouse lead and supervisor to ensure proper flow of trucks in and out of the warehouse.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Basic computer literacy and basic Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
- Must be able to frequently walk outside to direct drivers, give BOLs, and seal trailers.

Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
