Purpose:
The Cook Supervisor in a food manufacturing facility is a hands-on working supervisor responsible for leading the cooking process while actively participating in daily production tasks. The Cook Supervisor will manage a team, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and play an integral part in driving efficiency on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of cooks and kitchen staff while working alongside them during production shifts.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to meet production goals.
- Act as a mentor, providing ongoing coaching and development for the team.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring smooth communication and task execution.
Hands-On Cooking and Production:
- Actively participate in the cooking process, preparing large-scale batches of food alongside the team.
- Ensure consistent execution of standardized recipes, monitoring cooking times, ingredient quality, and production accuracy.
