Job Summary:
Job Summary: The Lead Camp Counselor will work alongside the Youth Director to ensure summer camps are successfully carried out. Most importantly, the Lead Camp Counselor will ensure the safety of participants and enforce the Club rules and guidelines at all times. Second to that, promoting the enjoyment of activities to ensure young members have a positive and welcoming experience. Office work and assistance with planning and organizing activities, maintaining supplies, and other miscellaneous tasks as they arise are also included in this position.
Job Functions include:
· Assist with planning and implementation of summer camps programs and activities.
· Assist with preparing camp groups and supplies (name tags, counselor buckets, camp favors, copying coloring sheets, ordering and organizing crafts, allergy lists, check-in sheets)
· Will oversee daily check-in and maintain sign in/sign out sheets. Checks all information each Monday at drop-off to confirm edits or changes and updates all documents accordingly.
· Knowledge of children’s allergies, medical conditions, and special circumstances.
· Knowledge of youth rules and guidelines, ensuring they are being enforced at all times.
· Will work alongside camp counselors, modeling good behavior, guiding positive interactions, and ensuring all camp counselors are on task.
· Works with Assistant Director of WAY to ensure camp counselors are in proper dress.
· Lead counselors with the youth room checklist on a daily basis.
· Help organize youth closets as needed and ensure inventory of weekly snacks, activity supplies, first aid, cleaning supplies, and crafts are kept stocked. Will report all needs to the Assistant Director in a timely manner for re-ordering.
· Assist with billing and/ or merchandise sales as needed.
· Assist with facilitating communication with parents as needed including calling to clarify registration notes, reporting illness or injury, or returning voicemails/emails as needed if applicable.
· Completes required computer-based training courses through CLI within the required time frame. · Is responsible for knowing CCC Employee Policies and working by the CCC Mission Statement.

· Have a passion and ability to responsibly work with young children with safety and security as the most important dynamic.
· Must be flexible, enthusiastic, patient, friendly and understanding.
· CPR certified, or willing to receive certification.
· Capable of lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
· Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around work areas with the ability to set-up youth rooms with large equipment and furniture.
· Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that job duties can be performed successfully.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
· This person must be organized, efficient, and detail oriented. They must be able to work independently, taking initiative and prioritizing responsibilities.
· Must have the ability to get along well with others and demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people and children.
Must be willing to participate in all aspects of camp, including but not limited to accompanying children to sports activities, getting into the pool and swimming with the children, counting towards camp ratios, and running programs throughout the camp day.
