JOB SUMMARY:
Act as an ambassador for the CCC Tennis Department with a strong tennis background maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor with high regards towards member and guest relations. Assist Director and Tennis Professional in management of all Tennis facilities and activities. This position will embody the Carolina Country Club Mission Statement and Absolutes.
Job Functions include:
- Provide group and individual tennis lessons as assigned by tennis professional.
- Assist with planning and promoting special tennis events.
- Conduct both private and group lessons and manages communication for the junior and adult tennis programs.
- Responsible to know all tennis equipment, existing and updated technologies and know all aspects of Tennis Courts & Grounds.
- Must know how to String rackets and assist as requested.
- Accept and records court reservations and tennis lessons.
- Report loitering of unsupervised children and unauthorized personnel around tennis grounds to management.
- Help keep the tennis facility clean and in proper order including court maintenance.
- Coach junior team/s selected by the Tennis Director and will be available for USTA Leagues which are played on Saturdays.
- Assists in the execution of tennis camps, leagues, clinics, tournaments, etc.
- The employee will report to work on time as scheduled. Is responsible to notify Tennis Pro or Tennis Director if running late or absent.
- Attend departmental staff meetings as scheduled.
- Complete required computer-based training courses through CLI within the required time frame.
- Uses Member Name Game and participates in contests as a learning tool.
- Assist and complete other appropriate assignments made by the Tennis Director, Head Tennis Professional
Qualifications
- Certified Tennis Instructor by U.S.P.T.A. or U.S.P.T.R, or must work towards certification.
- Must be available to work Saturday to assist in clinics, leagues and/or tournaments.
- Must arrive 30 minutes prior to all morning lessons and report to Tennis Director or Tennis Maintenance upon arrival.

- On weekends, must arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled clinics.
