What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEAD YOUTH PROGRAM ASSISTANT position at CAROLINA COUNTRY CLUB?
Job Summary:
The Lead Youth Program Assistant will work alongside the Youth Director to ensure all youth programs throughout the year, including summer camps are successfully carried out. Most importantly, the Lead Youth Program Assistant will ensure the safety of participants and enforce the Club rules and guidelines at all times. Second to that, promoting the enjoyment of activities to ensure young members have a positive and welcoming experience. Office work and assistance with planning and organizing activities, maintaining supplies, and other miscellaneous tasks as they arise are also included in this position. This individual will embody the Carolina Country Employee Mission and Absolutes.

Job Functions include:
- Assist with planning and implementation of all youth programs and activities
- Assist as needed with preparing camp groups and supplies (name tags, counselor buckets, camp favors, copying coloring sheets, ordering and organizing crafts)
- Will monitor check-ins and maintain sign in/sign out sheets
- Knowledge of children's allergies/special circumstances
- Knowledge of youth rules and guidelines, ensure they are being enforced at all times
- Guide and ensure other youth assistants and counselors are on task
- Ensure other youth assistants are in proper dress, inform Youth Director should the dress code not be properly followed
- Will assist with the room checklist on a daily basis
- Help organize youth closets as needed
- Assist with billing, merchandise sales as needed
- Assist with voicemails/emails as needed
- Assist with maintaining supplies (snacks/juice/cleaners/etc.) and inform the Youth Director when supplies need to be purchased
- Completes required computer-based training courses through PayCom within the required time frame.
- Is responsible for knowing CCC Employee Policies and working by the CCC Mission Statement.

- Have a passion and ability to responsibly work with young children with safety and security as the most important dynamic.
- Must be flexible, enthusiastic, patient, friendly and understanding.
- CPR certified, or willing
- Capable of lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
- Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around work areas with the ability to setup youth rooms with large equipment and furniture.
- Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that job duties can be performed successfully.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- This person must be organized, efficient and detail-oriented. She/he must be able to work independently, taking initiative and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Must have the ability to get along well with others and demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people and children.
