Facility Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, maintenance management, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all facility maintenance activities to ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems and other mechanical equipment.
• Fabricate and maintain components as needed to support facility operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Oversee the work of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and ensure adherence to operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Duties
- Perform porter and custodial duties to ensure the cleanliness of the premises
- Conduct commercial and industrial cleaning tasks
- Maintain floor care, including buffing and other related tasks
- Assist with facilities maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Support residential painting projects when required

Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of custodial duties and industrial cleaning practices
- Ability to maintain cleanliness standards in various settings
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
