Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
- Review, analyze, and understand job drawings and specifications.
- Provide clear, detailed quality take-off documents.
- Respond effectively to internal and external customer requests promptly.
- Engineer the best production plan for every project.
- Evaluate all methods available for producing a job and provide quotes based on the most economical method.
- Work with vendors to obtain quotes for outsourced products.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Recommend ways to increase cost savings, efficiency, and profitability.
- Develop business relationships with prospective and current customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an estimator preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
