We are seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to manage daily plant operations in the production of custom cut and assembled industrial products through the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement, and effectively managing a labor force in an environment of respect and accountability. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting key objectives of effective labor management, cost reduction, quality & safety, and on-time delivery. He or she will also lead the production supervisors to achieve key performance goals and to mentor and coach the team to improve their skills and effectiveness. Reports to General Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the company values of integrity, excellence, giving, and profound respect for the individual.
- Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations of the plant including job scheduling, workflow, and work assignments to meet product specifications and delivery deadlines.
- Develop and implement training for all employees and ensure effective and safe work practices are followed.
- Implement Lean manufacturing processes and principles to meet stretch improvement goals.
- Address employee issues and needs to maintain an effective and respectful workplace.
- Provide direct coaching and employee development opportunities.
- Collect and analyze data to drive decision-making, corrective action, and operational improvements.
- Lead process error root-cause analysis and implement solutions to enhance process effectiveness.
- Meet or exceed customer quality and delivery requirements.
- Ensure the safety of personnel and physical facilities.
- Assure proper maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience – drafting, mechanical, or engineering a plus.
- 5 years' plant operations experience ideally in a quick-turn custom job shop.
- High level of integrity.
- Experience with and understanding of Lean manufacturing.
- Strong communications, team building, decision making, and people management skills.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and labor management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and analysis including basic computer skills and in particular Excel skills.
- Understanding of productivity metrics and how to achieve cost and productivity goals.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Ability to coach and mentor employees.
- Spanish language skills would be a plus.
