Position Objective
To be intentional with every aspect of the camp experience to allow room for God to work in His unique ways as campers laugh, play, learn and experience the love of Jesus in a whole new way. The opportunity to facilitate high ropes and recreational activities, while providing a safe environment for campers and modeling a personal relationship with Jesus. No matter your position, our mission is to invite campers to experience and know the love of Jesus.
As you pour out into campers, you'll be poured into. You'll be known and valued through a vibrant community and intentional weekly small groups. Each week as a community, hear from impactful teachers and engage together in worship. Plus, you'll grow in your own faith journey through the life-long friendships you'll make.

Key Job Accountabilities
Serve groups and occasionally live with campers during their staySupervise campers at activities and mealsFacilitate aerial challenge course, zipline, and other adventure activities with guests of all agesFacilitate swimmer safety at all water-related activities and perform water rescues if necessaryFacilitate general recreation, including but not limited to target sports, field games, and craftsSafely instruct all activitiesLead or participate in devotionals, and share the Gospel with campers depending on group needsAssist with general program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and moreAttend all required staff meetings and eventsActively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programsActively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words, and actions.Other duties as assigned by the supervisorEducation / Certifications / Licenses
18 years of age or older preferredCurrent valid driver's license preferredHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredMust be CPR and First Aid Certified (online courses are not accepted) before arriving at campMust have a current Texas Food Handlers Certificate before arriving at campBased on positionMust be a lifeguard or able to become a lifeguard
Must be able to pass camp-specific adventure facilitation trainingWork Experience
Some experience with children or youth is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be comfortable facilitating experiences in front of large and small groups.Must be a team player, and willing to work in all types of weather.Must be able to be teachable and ask questions where knowledge is lackingMust be willing to learn how to facilitate all of Carolina Creek's activitiesMust be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem-solve in challenging situations.Able to engage in active listening.Must be able to effectively communicate in and understand English, both verbally and writtenA heart to serve wherever and whenever needed.Willing to serve at any camp center or in a different role, when not serving in your primary responsibility.If becoming a LifeguardMust be comfortable underwater up to 13 feet.
Must be able to swim 300 meters without stopping.Must be able to tread water for 2 minutes.
